Did you see what they did with GPT's? Thousands created their IP and then whak, no longer available. Which means they stole all of it and improves their system
AI meddling here feels like a tax on our intellectual property, industrial espionage and a deal struck at the crossroads to build a god. It reminds me of the plot of a story I still need to finish, and I cannot publish it here.
Your salvation lies in your eventual uploaded consciousness. Merge with oblivion. There is nowhere else as we've purchased all escape routes to tokenize, document, and archive on The Ledger. Eventually, not even death awaits you.
You're diagnosing the problem, collectively some of us are together, poetically; not as well as you. Now what do we do? Because they want us isolated and diffuse, the ideal customer. Where do we go when they've walled the gardens and conversion is (trust me, I've got 30,000 people on FB, I'd take a 3% conversion rate, but it's near) impossible. I'm a writer, I didn't sign up for this shit.
Yeah, everyone's asking the wrong questions, but who wants to be the first REAL American martyr? Because before you're a saint, secular of otherwise, you gotta fuckin' die. And believe me, they can bury all that now too.
You’ve eloquently summed up all my biggest gripes with this shit, all except one. Machines increasing the complexity of real life, machine-makers selling a solution to this in the form of another machine, thus increasing complexity. Altman said that they want to make ai a public utility, you will have to pay for it like you do for water and heating. But that shit doesn’t hydrate, it doesn’t keep you warm. It’s a just a tool helping you keep up with how fast life has become because of them.
yeah dude that line about making intelligence just another utility like water or electricity that we pay for on another meter was true evil.. next it will be sunlight and oxygen, then sleep.

The gardens are walled, the bots are here, we all know it, do we give in to pure unadulterated nihilism? https://futurism.com/artificial-intelligence/ai-companies-destroying-rare-books

If it makes you feel better, they’ve been fucking with our sleep ever since the invention of the light bulb and working in shifts.
